We would especially like to hear from you if you or a relative either witnessed or attended any air crashes.
For example, were you, or they a Police Officer, Fire Officer, or A.R.P. Warden?

We are especially interested in information relating to the following incidents:

Any information welcome.

19 JANUARY 1945 - Crash of an Airspeed Oxford training aircraft, Beeston Rylands, Nottingham.

24 JULY 1944 - A N.A. Mitchell II crashed and exploded near Beeston.
Any information, particularly eyewitness reports welcome.

DATE UNKNOWN - Possibly 1944? A German reconnaisance aircraft engaged, and hit by, anti-aircraft guns on Victoria (Bendigo) Park, Nottingham. Very little else is known, apart from it happened one Sunday lunchtime.
Any information welcome.

24 October 1944 - Crash of an American Thunderbolt fighter at Finney Spring, near Shepshed.
So far we have established that it was from the 495th Fighter Training Group, based at Atcham.

Any information, however seemingly insignificant, may help us!
